Bad parenting?

As a new father I am unsure if this would be considered bad parenting. What do you do when you have a squirmy baby and no clean place to put him down? The only logical choice is obviously to place him in the kitchen drawer.

A trip to the coast

On Saturday April 25th Stacy, Lynda, the dudes and I went over to the coast to see John and the beachhouse. The beachhouse is coming along well. Stacy wanted to get a "couple" pictures of the dudes on the beach. Unfortunatly the weather was uncooperative. We went to lunch at Moe's and some of the most outstanding meals ever. YUM YUM YUM! I took Daphne out on the beach and she was having a great time running and splashing. I think I am going to have to take her over and allow her to run for a couple hours. The trouble with twins has jumped up another notch, because it has become official. We now have two mobile children. Ian has started army scooting around the house. He seems to love his new found freedom that does allow him to play more with Ainge.

A day at the dog park

On Sunday April 19th Stacy, Daphne, Ian, Ainge and I spent the day down at the dog park. Daphne did pretty well with all the other dogs. Like all females she was always worried the other puppies were going to try and violate her. We'll have to keep working with her and maybe she can relax and have fun. We all went for a walk and hung out for a while at the amphitheater. Super Ainge found his kryptonite. The green grass was a little too funky. Ian on the other hand thought he was one of the animals he loves so much. The grass was continually going in his mouth as fast as he could pick it. We finished off stopping by the carousel and finalizing all the stuff for the dudes 1st birthday. It was great spending time with the family.

Our day at the tulip farm

On April 18th Stacy, Lynda, and I spent the day at the tulip farm in Woodburn. The dudes did pretty well. We placed them in the dirt for the first time and they thought that was pretty cool. Ainge decided the rocks even looked good enough to eat. Ian continues to be facinated by animals of all sorts. They had rescued exotic birds on display which Ian thought was pretty darn cool, Ainge on the other hand didn't quite know what to think of them.

Spring Break 2009 brought a trip to the Oregon Coast with family. They traveled from Boise and Payette to spend a week on the Oregon Coast. It was very typical of Oregon weather on the Coast during Spring Break which meant alot of wet and over cast days. We stayed in the Lincoln City, Depoe Bay area and enjoyed the Oregon Coast Aquarium, the beach, the outlet stores, Hecita Head lighthouse, family pictures at Fogerty Creek and lots of good food. There were several of us that also caught the dreaded influenza. We all caught it and the boys got a slight case of pneumonia and I developed a raging sinus infection. We are all doing much better now and this first weekend in April has brought the beautiful sun and 60 degree weather. We can hardly believe that the boys are 10 months old and their first birthday is coming so fast! Here are some wonderful pictures that captured memories on our trip.

Sorry we have not posted anything in quite a few months. I started my new job working full time. I deeply miss all that time I could be spending with our beautiful and handsome boys that are changing and growing every minute of every day. I treasure the time I have with them in the evenings, early morning and on the weekends. They are our biggest blessing in life and every moment is treasured. They are so funny, smart, and loving. Ainge loves to give big wet long kisses to me and Ian simply says momma and I melt. They continue to progress through the delvelopmental stages. Ainge began scooting and on his tummy using his arms and then he began crawling and he is now pulling himself up on furniture and moving himself along the furniture while traveling to his next endeavor. Ian is sitting up very steady then he rolls down to the ground and begins his clever ability to roll and move his body to get where he wants to go. He loves to play with his toys and he is now getting frustrated with not being able to explore things as his brother does. They communicate very well for their needs. Here are some fun photos of bathtime. Hope you enjoy!
